With Melissa Errico, John McMartin, Daniel McDonald, Randy Graff, Marc Kudish. This was the ‘out-of-town’ opening of the new musical, which received mixed reviews by the San Francisco press. The show would be drastically reworked, recast and redirected before opening on Broadway the next Spring, but it didn’t fare much better and closed after 144 performances.
This was my first professional musical and was so fortunate to work with such a talented company. I was incredibly lucky to also begin a relationship with the inestimable the music director, Theatre Hall of Fame member, Paul Gemignani. I would happily work with him three more times.
