Murder On The Orient Express
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again!
Our final play of the season was Ken Ludwig’s adaptation of Christie’s masterpiece MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. In the brilliant hands of director, Marcia Milgrom Dodge, this whodunnit was one of the high points of the season. The set (dramatically designed on a revolve) was by Chen-Wei Liao, with lighting design by Matthew Richards, costumes by Gail Baldoni and sound design by Jake Levitan.
Our marvelous cast delivered brilliant performances, keeping the audience guessing until the final moment, including, Jordan Boatman, Duane Boutte, Matt Bogart, Charlotte Bydwell, Ryan Meyer, Chris Tramantana, Cady Huffman, Emma Straton, Bianca Leigh, and Reg Rogers as the great detective Hercule Poirot.
The critics loved it, writing “this delightful and engrossing entertainment begs to be seen for its memorable 1930s setting and décor, and for the professionalism of the multi-talented cast and director Dodge” (Cape Cod Times).
